SCOTT DONALD's try four minutes before fulltime sealed
Manly's victory over Melbourne in the NRL clash at
Brookvale Oval today.
The game was in the balance until Sea Eagles halfback
Jason Ferris slipped a lovely pass to centre Ben
MacDougall, who set up Donald for his second try after
the former Parramatta flyer had scored in the 17th
minute.
Ben Walker added the extras for a 20-14 scoreline which
gives the Sea Eagles a huge boost following their upset
win over St George Illawarra last weekend in Wollongong.
The Storm led 8-0 after 11 minutes following tries to
exciting centre Billy Slater and winger Semi Tadulala
before the match swung Manly's way.
Donald took a long cut-out ball from hooker Chad Randall
to touch down in the 17th minute and Ferris added a
conversion and a 27th minute penalty goal to lock up the
scores 8-all at halftime.
Second half tries to Storm fullback Robbie Ross and his
opposite number Brendon Reeves again deadlocked the
scores at 14-all before Donald touched down to spark
celebrations from his team-mates.
