Harris, Sam
59 10 3 0 46 0 0 2003 - 2005 Backrower.
A Manly junior and Australian under 21 rugby representative, Harris returned to rugby league in 2003 after playing centre for the Waratahs in Super 12 rugby. In his first season for Manly Harris played 16 first grade matches scoring 1 try and 3 goals. Early in the 2004 season Manly's forward coach Steve 'Blocker' Roach was already predicting that Harris was on the verge of representative rugby league. "He's just so strong and aggressive and he's improved out of sight in the past year. In time I think he can be one of the most damaging back rowers in the game"
[Quoted in Big League March 25-21 2004, page 26.]

Son of Tongan boxing champion Maile Haumono, Solomon Haumono is a former NSW heavyweight boxing champion. Solomon played for Manly from 1994-96 before joining the Bulldogs during the Super League War in 1997. He unfortunately missed out playing in Manly's 1996 Grand Final because of injury. He split acrimoniously from the Bulldogs in 1998 and then had less than successful stints with Balmain in 1999 and St George in 2000. During the 2000 season he turned his back on rugby league to pursue a successful boxing career. Returned to rugby league and Manly in 2003, making an immediate impact and playing all 24 first grade matches.

Prop 1990-1993. A Manly junior who played for Souths lower grades in the late eighties including in the 1987 under 23s Grand Final. He played 11 first grade games for Souths. In 1990 he started the season in obscurity with the Bankstown Greyhounds before being snapped up by Manly. Known as "the Mule", Hosking starred in Manly's pack in the early nineties playing 63 first grade games. The Manly crowd loved the Mule for his strong go forward running and skillful off loads.
